right? imagine some one came for Calvin and Hobbes. don’t come for my cartoons, the one pure thing in this world
is English your first language because you either don’t understand what I’m saying or you are too ignorant to understand.
swastikas being bannable outside of specific religious contexts
that’s literally what i said. the context around the symbol is what is important. no one in south west asia sees a swastika and think Nazis because it’s part of the religious culture. just as no one sees Pepe and thinks nazis because no one normal participated in that shit subculture of 4chan except Nazis.
Let’s actually look at what happened with Pepe, he was created by an artist then appropriated by Nazis. The artist then posted that he was outraged and disappointed that it was taken over by Nazis. people listened and were also outraged and did everything to normalize and take it back from the Nazis, because again it wasn’t theirs to take in the first place. now you imagine the 12 year old posting it are nazis when they have no context of any of the events your talking about. go touch grass, your brain is rotting.
literally my first comment said context matters. if you see an image with hate speech maybe its the speech that you should pay attention to.
the symbol predates Germany, initial findings date it back to 3300-1300 BC. you’re telling me all historical religious symbols in Asian countries should wiped of the icon because of Nazis misappropriating their symbol? you would literally deface ancient sites that predate nazis by thousands of years because you can only see it as a symbol of hate?
you can use context clues such as actual hate speech, nazi slogans and genocide to distinguish those that are actually racist. the whole point of nazism is to erase culture and replace it with only the “one true race”. by allowing nazis and white supremacists to appropriate symbols you’re actively giving them power.
the swastika was originally a religious icon used and still used in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jianism, i wouldn’t consider them Nazis… Context matters
cut grass makes me feel nauseous
company uses it?
ichi the killer. couldn’t make it past the first few minutes
Considering how riled up everyone seems to getting over what was said, I inclined to believe it was said specifically to get a rise out of their opposition.
their actions on Jan 6th, the Nazi marches with literal 3rd Reich chants and the political refusal to denounce them. refusing women health care causing an increase in mortality rates.
you can’t participate in fascism and say /s just kidding bro.
In other words; you’re being trolled, and they’re having a laugh.
they aren’t trolling, they’re laughing that they’re getting away with it and the system refuses to do anything about it. the cruelty and the power to enact that cruelty onto others is the joke to them.
i reported it as doxing, looks like they’re recording names and addresses. maybe those in the EU can raise gdpr concerns?
Microsoft lawyer Rakesh Kilaru wrote that Microsoft was already considering layoffs before the merger.
Corporate gaslighting at it’s finest. we planned to layoff ~1000 employees from the company we were acquiring before we agreed not to do that!
could be skimpflation. company’s have been changing ingredients slowly to lower the cost of ingredients to save on cost. doing it very slowly over years they end up saving money and no one really notices the changes.
if you can find an old ingredient/nutritional list from a few years ago you can compare ingredient order to see if it’s changed
honestly the statement “contains as much caffeine as our dark roast coffee” is misleading since that would be comparing an 8oz coffee to 8oz of lemonade. if you drink the coffee you’re most likely getting a cup that is 8-16oz. however the standard soft drink size is 20-30oz which would mean one cup is basically your daily serving of caffeine.
if i saw the sign saying “same strength as our coffee” i would assume it’s one cup of coffee is equal to one cup of lemonade. who would only fill their cups half way? it’s insane to sell one cup that is almost 100% the daily value while it’s known bad side effects can happen after 400mg.
i really hope you can clarify, are you saying genocide is justifiable to have cheap bananas?
Elon and the Twitter company are not anonymous? They’re using their position to actively bury opinions they dislike. by removing a blue check it means less people will see union organizing efforts and messaging.
The Nazi started deporting after they came into power and again they came into power and held their power by silencing their opposition. Stop being a Corpo fasist apologist.
before the Nazi party came to power, they would show up to rallys, protests and town squares to silence political opponents through intimidation and physical violence.
A lot of people would consider Twitter a modern day digital “Town square”. i would say it’s eerily similar, the main difference is that there’s no physical violence just the silence.
javascript but more for philosophical reasons. when projects use typescript they always get focused on writing more scripts rather than optimizing HTML/CSS. Too many times I’ve seen overly complex scripts trying to solve what a properly arranged div and css tag have already solved.
imo its a bit different as they are using physical resources and then artificially limiting access. a better comparison would be getting a motherboard and having to pay extra to use some of the usb ports.
I think eventually there should be laws against wasting physical resources for monetary gain. if they want two models, make it such that they either don’t meet manufacturing requirements and are hard disabled (similar to cpu yield) or produce one with and one without.
basically no company wants the bad PR. If it had come out twitch would be known as the platform with pedos and parents wouldn’t let their kids use it resulting in the platform becoming obsolete.
