No worries, by the way I found out you can filter posts by keyword just not on the default Lemmy interface but in some apps such as: Voyager, Connect, Sync, Summit, Mlem, Boost, Eternity, Thunder, Arctic and on web interfaces Tesseract and Voyager. Lemmy.world has m.lemmy.world where you might be able to use Lemmy with keyword filters

its not even about it, probably more data to tie to you and sell to data brokers, facebook feed most of the time wont even prioritize to show your friends posts instead will show posts from pages that paid Facebook to advertise, its literally no longer what it used to be for a few years already and probably why they were all in for having a separate messenger app for Facebook so those who find more convenient not to quit will just keep using it to maintain contact with people through it while keeping their accounts

same happened with me then a few other friends which made it easier to convince them to leave Facebook

afaik Friendica is the closest to Facebook usage among Fediverse platforms, im not aware of new features on Facebook since I quit it a few years ago but for ordinary people i only think to be missing games i know some people used (do they still?) to play to get “achievements” which they could share they got it, i’d usually see it more often from farming or guitar hero-like games, other than that they have plenty of stuff that you won’t find in other Fediverse platforms but its also not a platform where you’ll find general instances with as many people as in Lemmy/Mastodon/Pixelfed general instances but since you are willing to host for yourself and your friends it might be worth it, you can even have your own RSS feeds within Friendica and browse posts from other platforms outside the Fediverse, you can check the features list on friendi.ca/about/features

If you go to PieFed afaik you can filter posts by keywords and you even get asked if you want to see no posfs related to him or Muskolini, no need to troll downvote posts

Well, I didn’t say it is in this case but could be. Also you never know if the person has Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD) or how someone copes with such negative experiences that could affect their memory of it, a lot of factors could be at play but good on you for clearing up it was just a misunderstanding of what you said, your first reaction (and how it was paraphrased) seemed to imply you meant to minimize the aggresors faulf hence why my reaction was that and probably those downvoting it

fair advices and I agree on not engaging but I’d not blame it on someone for being themselves, you and I could think of it at a similar situation maybe because of overcautiousness but some people even if they experience bad experience with some they still won’t just start being like that too out of nowhere and I don’t blame them, shaming why the victim were being themselves only seem to minimize the fault of the aggressors imo
