Huh? This is a problem with the 12v battery though?

Porque no los dos?
I’m only at episode 5 so I don’t want to read comments but I’m wholly obsessed with it so far. It’s peak Flanagan.
Bruce Greenwood is killing it. Absolute MVP.
Wow. This was…bad. Visually stunning but that’s about it. Screenplay was trite and inept. John David Washington was awful. It’s quite frustrating because it could’ve been something more. The production design was so gorgeous and I generally enjoyed the world building. It’s the lack of any character development and the clunky screenplay that’s really dragging this down. What a disappointment.
Also, go home Hans Zimmer. That score was so heavy-handed, it drove me fucking crazy.
It’s sweet that you think we can just implement social policies like that.
Only the rich and corporations would benefit from the housing market crashing.
we could do that, but in a dedicated movie community
Sounds good to me!
I mean what you said is fine too, I’m just throwing out suggestions.
You can easily have
Then you only have two pinned posts where people can easily find threads instead of like 4 pinned movie posts, even if you do separate the movie and TV community.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Why not have a pinned mega thread that points to the discussion threads of the week, instead of pinning the individual threads?
Banshees of Inisherin.
I’ve had 5 shots and would take more if offered. Make it an annual thing!!
That’s fair. I did not know the background of lemmy.ml or hexbear and I’m certainly learning that users from particularly the latter are somewhat unstable. I just subbed to a bunch of top news communities when I joined Lemmy. That’s on me lol.
Reading the comments…
Wish I could block an entire instance at once. Is that a thing I can do?
Just watched it! It was great. Jamie Foxx really lights up whatever scene he’s in, and the rest of the cast delivered as well. Loved the way it looked too. Stylish and exciting. I’m a fan.
Meh. I, for one, love the MI series. They’re expertly-crafted, across the board well-acted, and just plain fun. I can’t say the same for the F&F movies. I can’t say the same for many action franchises actually. Tom Cruise is batshit crazy but you can’t deny that he’s a singular talent.
🙌
I posted my thoughts on the movies in their respective megathreads already so I won’t repost them. But it comes down to the simple fact that Christopher Nolan and his gimmicks drive me insane and I’ve never been a fan of his albeit technically impressive filmmaking.
Also it’s hilarious that you’re complaining of Barbie’s wokeness just cause what, it’s written and directed by a woman? Nolan can learn from that and perhaps add a female writer to his arsenal. He sucks at handling female characters and Oppenheimer is a prime example of that. Talk about wasted opportunities having Emily Blunt and Flo Pugh and relegating them to a mere drunk housewife and a pair of breasts. Actually every time I think about how Pugh’s character was handled I knock the movie down a couple more points. 🙄
I watched both within a few days of each other and liked Barbie way more than Oppenheimer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You sound nice.
Well he was also caught cheating on his wife with a prostitute which is a big deal in SK and especially so for someone like him that capitalized on his squeaky clean family man image.
Not saying it’s okay, but it’s not just the drugs.
