• Accidentally produced a gun.
• Accidentally loaded it.
• Accidentally pointed it at the daughter.
• Accidentally flicked the safety off. Apparently it was a Glock
• Accidentally pulled the trigger.

Color me suspicious but even if all that was just a series of unlucky coincidences, that man should be kept away from all guns for the rest of his life. At the very minimum.
