no motorollas are supported yet by GrapheneOS. only new ones projected to come next year will be.

/e/OS is just a fork of LineageOS, with dubious software choices and practices. LOS is available for many more devices and is the cleaner almost-degoogled (like /e/ and other LOS forks) basic AOSP-like experience with lots of customization to use even in old devices that keep running modern android this way.

GOS is much more secure than LOS or any of its forks (including /e/), even more so when the latter is running in old devices that no longer have firmware updates. and it’s properly degoogled, with the option to use Google Services in the best way possible - without it having root access to your system and isolated from other apps, if you so wish

so, GrapheneOS is your best option. if you can’t or won’t, use LineageOS

I love Fairphones, but GrapheneOS developers are very clear on why they son’t support phones other than Pixels. If other phones complied with those requirements, they would support them. I really hoped the OEM they’re working with to support from another brand would be Fairphone, but the most educated guess I’ve seen is Motorola

to explain better: I had to agree with the situation before hand, so I was not kicked out per se. the fucked up part is that when you’re trying to find a home around here, most of them have this condition that you have to accept

yeah, it’s awesome to live and work in a town and have to rent a temporary place for 3 months in summer cuz your’re priced out of your normal home, and it was rented in advance by tourist paying 4 times normal rent value

actually, years ago there was a long drawn out drama about people in Signal’s team refusing to publish on F-Droid because of “security concerns” in Moxie’s time. IIRC they worked to take down builds on the main repo

you can probably still find the old github threads with the lenghty discussions

I’ve just seen it. I suppose Signal-FOSS has the same signature, since I can choose between the two repos on its F-Droid panel
