I guess the reason I was confused is because typically there is no one time removal and everything is just a subscription. I appreciate that, at least for removing ads. The features in ultra are interesting but not worth it right now.

Ultra sounds interesting for sure, but I’m not sure it’s worth it. I might try 1 month later on. I think it’s just because lemmy is smaller than reddit (for now :)) which makes these features less used, at least in the short term. Who knows, maybe in a couple years, it will be a no brainer.

That’s great that it’s a one time removal of ads. I guess it kind of confused me that there were two separate options for removing ads, but I’m grateful.
