Is dual booting really that common? Whenever I need to test something on windows I just use a vm

Earlier this year I collected virtually every photo I’ve ever taken from every device I own and put them on my immich server and it was so worth it. I spend so much time looking at my old stuff now that it’s all there. If anything I think having easy access to take and view photos just lets you connect to them more because you can so easily go back to any point in your life
Anyone can learn to use an office suite on their own in very little time so there’s no reason to teach it. Being able to use the command line is a valuable skill that makes you a way better computer user no matter what you’re doing and it’s one that a lot of people are missing these days. I don’t think you can really say you know how to use a computer if you can only use it in the very specific ways someone happens to have made a gui for
It’s crazy that under 2 years ago I got like twice the memory for my laptop I had intended to because it was so cheap I just figured why not.
I feel like using the command line should really be a basic skill taught in school. That would be way more worthwhile than teaching people how to use like microsoft office
As annoying as using a non-posix compatible shell sometimes is, fish saves me so much time
I mean I suppose it’s no different than subscribing to the patreon of a youtuber you like to get extra videos? I don’t do it but I feel like supporting a content creator you like is a reasonable thing to do even if it’s that kind of content
Or just block it with ublock so it’s permanent

Console manufacturers all just need to switch to displayport to encourage tv manufacturers to do the same. No one’s going to not buy a ps6 or steam machine because they have to use a little dp-hdmi adapter, but they might be a little more likely to choose a tv that doesn’t need an adapter over one that does
Not true in my experience, I would say the majority of windows users I see these days use edge and bing. Most don’t use copilot though

It’s crazy that cloudflare of all people even had unwrap enabled. Whenever I use unwrap in some tiny little not important thing I always treat it as a temporary thing that I need to come back and fix before the software is actually ready for anyone to seriously use

I was only complaining about bikes trying to ride through crowds in pedestrian only areas and not stopping at crosswalks, but jaywalking is a stupid crime anyway. pedestrians should always have the right of way unless you are like jumping out in front of a vehicle where they would have to slam on the brakes

I barely notice them when I’m driving, I’m mostly talking about when I’m walking. But yeah obviously it’s not every bicycle, but it is a lot in my area

I mean I feel like if you’re on any type of vehicle, no matter what the law says you need to yield to pedestrians

I think part of it is that there are a lot of bike riders in US cities that are jerks, especially to pedestrians. When I’m crossing the street, bikes and scooters virtually never stop for me and just try to weave around me, and I once got hit by a scooter that was illegally riding on the sidewalk, which they constantly do here. I’m certainly not anti-bike because of that, but I can kind of understand why some people would be

Exactly, and you’ll save tons of money too. ETS2 goes on sale for $5, stardew valley for $7.50, vintage story doesn’t go on sale but it’s only $22. All games that are way more fun, way less buggy, and have way more replay value than every piece of triple a junk i’ve played
They bothered to add infrared but not a headphone jack? Those are some bizarre priorities

You could make the world’s worst computer cluster, that could be fun. I think there are several open source tools for doing clustering

If it was starbucks it would be like cramplestiltskin size or something not medium
I just use Typst for everything these days, but if you really want a gui thing there’s always the web version of google docs and ms office
