Elon Musk has tried to re-brand PayPal as “X” years ago and was shot down due to focus groups stating it reminded them of adult websites.

Thiel and PayPal co-founder Max Levchin plotted a coup against Musk while he was on his first vacation in years. The board fired Musk as CEO in September 2000 and replaced him with Thiel. Thiel formally changed the name of the combined company to PayPal in 2001.

At least it supports 2FA with hardware keys. Something that seemingly no bank is able to support after years and years have passed…

Same. Registered for an account once and tried to pay on several sites and it just failed becaused the account was too new ( probably ).

Eventually I transferred the funds to steam and deleted the account. What a feckin pile of rubbish.

Agreed, smarter for not re-branding to be like an adult website but still a bad service.
