Oh no, now the underage viewers will have to hold up a picture of Steve Buscemi to pass the camera check.

The law also makes it mandatory to use a third-party age assurance provider “that is legally and technically independent of any online platform hosting or providing porn content.”

Meanwhile, over on Googles I can find images of blowjobs and corner shop magazines available for viewing. Strange how they want to invade everyone’s privacy in the name of some “online porn”.

A ways back, I saw an article about how the French were rioting because their retirement age was being increased from 62 to 64. I remarked that it was interesting to see the French rioting against a change that wouldn’t even quite bring them to parity with the US but Americans can’t be bothered to riot for almost anything. A Frenchman said they didn’t want to even be more like the US in any way.

This law is absolutely the now-classic American attitude that kids can watch violent movies all day, but if they’rEXC exposed to one female nipple, you gotta shut it all down. Is France turning into America now, following Britain down the red, white, and blue path?

The problem with rioting in the states is that, there absolutely are riots and thus riot police. Rioting gets you shot.

Europe is preparing to host the Age Assurance Standards Summit, where industry leaders will gather to discuss age assurance legislation across the continent.

Really? They’re gonna talk about porn at AASS eh? Or if you visit the site, since it’s Global and all, GAASS.

But either way, AASS or GAASS, no one rides for free.

For legal reasons, before letting you watch a guy pounding his stepsister stuck in the washing machine, we have to ask you to select your favorite Dexter’s lab episode.

Again, what is your point? That having laws makes you not free? That’s something we all know, it’s not something you have discovered all by yourself.

It’s a basic societal understanding that if we live in a society there will be laws to stop bad shit from happening.

But you seem to think stopping predators is limiting your freedom. It’s such a stupid argument. But you don’t get that.

Edit: https://www.vg.no/nyheter/i/kwOrM6/norske-andrea-20-advart-mot-aa-demonstrere-i-usa-skikkelig-skummelt That’s a link to an article about a Norwegian student who’s being warned against protesting in the US for fear of being imprisoned. You know, limiting their freedom of speech.

You are such a bad faith actor it’s insane.

You are such a bad faith actor it’s insane.

We are discussing authoritarian laws that limits people freedom and the argument you are using is that “the law is the law”. You are being a bad faith actor yourself as big as the burj khalifa. If we were in nazi germany you would be backing the racist laws because they are laws.

It’s a basic societal understanding that if we live in a society there will be laws to stop bad shit from happening.

There’s more bad shit happening due to weed being illegal, like entire criminal organizations smuggling it which resulted in the government of france trying to ban encryption to fight them.

easy block potential, a dude tagging people from past arguments to rampage about how “Europe is bad actually!” or whatever the fuck nonsense they were arguing about… cherry picking contentious bill proposals and presenting it as some sort of evidence… the mental acuity of a teenager and none of the meme potential. yea I’m gonna get out ahead of this one and make sure you dont randomly tag me on shit either. easy block

        easy block potential

You don’t sound too smart and quite prone to lose your patience so i encourage you to engage in arguments with people rather than blocking them.

“Europe is bad actually!” or whatever the fuck nonsense they were arguing about…

We are in a thread discussing a bill aimed at forcing ID verification for certain websites, this is quite bad.
