Former vice-president says tariffs ‘not a win for the American people’ and predicts public pressure will grow

I will guess that many of you don’t like Mike Pence, but he has said a few things which I think are good:

  • He has said Trump’s tariffs will probably harm Americans
  • He has criticised Trump for not backing Ukraine
  • He seems to want to respect Canada’s sovereignty, describing Canada as “a great ally, whose soldiers have fought and died alongside Americans in every war since world war one”

    I will guess that many of you don’t like Mike Pence

    I mean, he’s a social conservative, which I’m not, but I think that he’d have been a pretty normal President, in contrast to Trump.

          It’s all relative. Doesn’t mean Jack was actually chill, though. I mean, he was murdering prostitutes, after all. trump being an evil fuck doesn’t in any way make Pence not-an-evil-fuck.

      He was trying desperately to be R poster boy when he was Indiana governor to the point where the Indiana GOP told him to calm the fuck down. He wouldn’t have been as bad as Trump was but he still would have been awful.
