James McAvoy for me. X-Men first Class, Split, Speak No Evil, even Victor Frankenstein. If MCavoy’s name is attached to it, I’m probably going to see it. Charlize Theron is next. Mad Max: Fury road, Monster, and Kubo. Old guard… she acted her heart out, but it was okay in the end. (First post)

I would’ve never expected to say this 17 years ago (don’t linger on that detail too long), but Robert Pattinson

My wife and I go on actor kicks, and RO was one not too long ago. Might have been spurred on by seeing The Lighthouse, but then it became let’s just watch what he’s done. I won’t watch Twilight, not my jam, but my wife watches it with our daughter, who is now team whatever, I dunno. But Good Time was a great recent flick that switched me from RP to Safdie movies in general.

If you’ve never watched The Rover, I would highly recommend it. Guy Pearce is excellent in it, but Pattinson’s performance really hit home that he can truly act.

I did. I’ll have to check, but I think I’ve seen a fair amount of his post-twilight films. Like Radcliffe, he generally picks interesting projects, if nothing else

Cosmopolis, Good Time, High Life, and ofc The Lighthouse being some of them

        Edit: spelling

Dude, seriously. For the longest time I only knew him as the vampire in Twilight (which I’d never even seen) and wrote him off immediately. Then I saw him in High Life and was like ‘Oh wait a minute, this guy is pretty good actually’. I even liked him in Batman. I’m glad he’s outgrowing his Twilight association.
