On a different side of the coin, the virtue signaling also bothers me. I was at a fast casual restaurant and went to use the bathroom and the sign on the door said “Gender neutral bathroom” and I was like “oh word, that’s pretty progressive I like this place” and then I walked in and there’s one toilet and a sink and the door locks. Motherfucker, that’s just a bathroom. You don’t need to specify “gender neutral” when it’s a one-person bathroom. Fuck outa here.
Many people I know with kids feel like the line is crossed when children are involved. Without kids it doesn’t matter but once kids are involved in the bathroom then things get more sensitive
I don’t myself mind sharing the bathroom with a <N-word.> I am not some Klan member! But when my kids are involved, I have to draw a line. Kids aren’t old enough to understand black people and their culture. Black folks need to use the bathroom at home or use a black-only bathroom. I’ll happily share a bathroom with a black man, but my wife or kids shouldn’t have to. They’re just not equipped to handle the complexities of the situation. Don’t call me a racist, I just have concerns for the safety of children.
The attempt by the right to pretend like children can’t handle knowing about the existence of LGBTQ people is horrible propaganda and projection.
In reality there are a ton lgbtq children who are forced to be cis. If they knew about lgbtq identities and were given a choice many wouldn’t choose to be cis.
I say this as a trans woman who didn’t even know what transition looked like or felt comfortable transitioning until decades after school. I would have suffered so much less in my life if all of this was explained to me in middle school.
I was at a George Thorogood concert and opened the door on a woman taking a shit in a portapotty. There were no lines so I just walked up and picked door number 2.
What I’m saying is I do care a little bit who’s in there.
What part of “George Thorogood concert” do you not understand? This wasn’t a shitter in the middle of nowhere. Locking the door is a lot more effective than trying to be louder than I Drink Alone. Yeah, you know when I shit alone I prefer to be by myself.
I’d also like to add… no one cares whos in what bathroom when you are in line at a portapotty do they? This shit is stupid.
So stupid. There’s a good stand up bit that covers it - https://youtube.com/shorts/jrBlC3q0Fwo

Human garbage never changes.

Ever heard of knocking?

I’ve been to hundreds of concerts what you’re describing isn’t all that hard
You would have preferred a manlier shit?
