they used the USB-C to route it internally to the q10 keyboard you see in the screencapture. But to still be able to charge they reused the Qi Charging pad, wired it back in so you can still wireless charge the device.
Ah yeah, would have been nice, but I get it. I imagine consumer phones will go more that direction too. All while I’m here contemplating going back to a flip phone anyway lol

He used the USB port on the samsung phone to connect an old blackberry keyboard, via a custom made PCB.
and populated the surface mounted components (well its just one) in the most hilarious and oversized stencil ever conceived :D
