This is what happens when violent and hateful rhetoric is allowed to be aired freely under the guise of “good Christian values”, while voices calling for checks notes being nice to other people are silenced. We all know that sowing division absolutely rakes in the profits, so do the math on who benefits from that.

This is not a right or left issue. This is the tolerant refusing to tolerate the intolerant after nothing else has worked.

but that we are now losing Rule of Law and the social contract.

The last chance to recover this was gone when Biden failed to uphold it against Trump and his followers after Jan. 6. Now Trump is back and throwing the last vestiges of law and order away. You need to accept that we’re not going to vote our way back to normalcy.

We lost that when we failed to jail Trump after his felony convictions, which came after the failure to convict him in the senate of supporting an insurrection.

Nah. We’re focusing on removing things that are in direct contrast to instance-wide rules (directly advocating violence).

I know Hitler comparisons are kinda stale, but Hitler never actually killed anyone (even during his WW1 military service apparently). He just said words and then other people killed for him. The same is true for plenty of dictators and politicians that indirectly caused the deaths of thousands or millions. Words have power.

It was true then, and it’s still true now.

Inciting violence is OK if you’re a conservative.

As he was shot, he was suggesting that transgender people are more likely to become mass shooters, which is a dangerous lie that the current administration is itching to use to remove 2A rights and potentially institutionalize/forcibly detransition transgender people. There are also likely transgender people to be murdered themselves as part of the hatred that he is participating in whipping up.

I do hope that it wasn’t a trans person. But yes, I am happy that he is dead. When Donald Trump dies, I will be happy. If Alex Jones dies I will be happy. These people are actively destructive to society. They chose to dedicate their lives to harming others. People who harm others should not be surprised when that is turned the other way.

I mean, devil’s advocate here but that wording yes it does. I imagine if it was worded more as “I’m happy it happened” than “this should happen to anyone who does this” it wouldn’t count as inciting. Though that being said I have no clue, just using my powers of empathy to see if I can understand the thing. Something that a certain someone didn’t use.

It’s too bad Charlie Kirk will never be able to attempt to feel empathy, not that he ever would have.

                This way lies madness.

Yes, he was a human being. With all of the associated rights, responsibilities, and various other baggage that comes attached to that. Dehumanization of the other is exactly what leftists are upset at conservatives over, and is what leads to situations like present day Palestine and Israel, where people are killed en masse with no remorse. The IDF is reportedly having fun murdering civilians. The only way that happens is that they are taught these Palestinians are not people, they are animals. This is what it leads to.

Was Charlie Kirk a piece of shit scum fucking loser who deserved exactly what he got? Yeah, absolutely. I will not shed a single tear over this man’s passing and I wish they shot him an additional time in the knees first.

But he was also a human being. No matter how disgusting our opponent we should not stoop to dehumanization. If we must kill them we must kill with a heavy heart. To do otherwise is to dehumanize yourself.

There is no need for heavy heart on justified killing, he was actively speaking in favor of limiting other peoples freedom and spreading hate all around him where ever he went. Only thing he was good at was deflecting questions and points that went against he’s believes. Hell, he’s legacy will most likely be used to fuel the hate even more.

We should not feel bad about the death of some purely evil people. The world will be a lot better place without him. Sure dehumanization should not be extended to civilians or masses of people but rather on some individual people who are full of hate and evil to the core.

Kirk literally said kids should watch public executions, so arguably, he was just providing an example.

Nice people still believe that tolerating the intolerance works.

              It fucking doesn’t.

My only regret is that it took me decades to actually understand that. I always believed that being nice and compassionate to others, no matter how much they hate would eventually woke out. It doesn’t.

Now I tell cunts to eat a dick immediately, no more wasting time being nice.

Is the censorship that bad here? I switched to this platform because reddit is handing out bans for everything these days and tought this place is more free.
