I’ve included the photos below. Was the ability to change languages really an Ultimate only feature back then?
Cash only. I know what I’ve got.
“price is firm”
$50$20Saying “I know what I’ve got” usually means they did a quick search on eBay and copy/pasted the highest price but ignored the fact that item has been listed and not sold for 10 years because it’s overpriced.
I always want to send them something like “What a big boy that you know what you got! And when you make the sale you can add the money to your piggy bank!”
That’s truly all that’s missing from this masterpiece.
No, they are that crazy
Guess Microsoft will have to release another „good“ OS if they want people to upgrade
Microsoft: LOL no, here’s more copilot integrations no one wants
Last “good” Windows OS was Win2k
The 64 bit version of XP was pretty good.
As if I could afford 64-bit hardware back then
I could, but it was pointless because 90% pretty much everything else was still 32-bit lol
I ran the 64-bit version of Far Cry on my Win XP 64. I convinced myself it looked better, but I doubt it actually did.
Edit: Huh, I guess it did look better. From the 64-bit patch notes:
Optimized and refactored code to take advantage of 64-bit architecture. Two AMD64 exclusive multiplayer maps – MP_Stronghold and MP_Gorge Added Offset bump mapping support. Added higher resolution textures and objects. Increased some viewing distances. Updated the Pier level with new content.
Truth is immaterial, the only question is will that article make someone go hunt down copies of windows 7 and maybe spend $20 on it.

Multiple languages for the OS was an Ultimate-only feature in 7; otherwise you were stuck with only the language(s) that came with your edition.
This part sucked real bad.
Back in those days, if you wanted to play some games imported from Japan, they would check that you had your region and language settings set to Japanese as a sort of soft-region locking.
I had to spend an extra $50 for ultimate to make it so that I could play my shitty anime games in the late 2000s.
I remember using software that let you play those with a Japanese locale
https://massgrave.dev/windows_7_links send this with a counter-offer for -$20
They know what they’ve got. Cash pony.
Will the site let you do that?
It is possible to message people on Karrot, but I don’t want to risk a ban by sending links
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Linux the Free [OS]?
Snatch it for me and I’ll give you $30usd for it.
My windows 10 support is about to end.
My windows 10 support is about to end.
Quick, hide over here.
Are you safely under cover?
We’re hiding from the thousands of soon to be incoming Linux upgrade recommendations.
But joking aside
Is this the twist foretold by your username? 🤔
Wonder what I could get for XP Pro in the box.
It does go for $50 consistently. People collect in box copies of windows.
Maybe that’s what people try selling it for, not necessarily what people purchase it for?
Those are all sold in the past month. You can filter eBay results by sold.
Oh wow
Sorry, I missed the “sold” text on those. Would you happen to know why people collect them?
I have an old rip CD of this lying around which was taken from a collection of like an entire CD stack worth of Windows XP, Vista, and 7 cracked installation disks. Feel like this is still worthless even with the shiny box.
Turns out that people are actually buying them
Not going to lie, I would buy outdated software for my ancient Mac if I could find it anywhere.
