Whenever protests get bigger, the movement grows.

Nothing will happen? Why is the government trying to denounce it as Antifa all over the news? Why are they suddenly doing missile tests off the coast of Los Angeles the day of the protest? Because they are afraid. Because if they can’t inflict fear, they lose power.

Sorry if we’re trying to avoid another civil war. Now go kick some rocks.

I just feel like it’s just going to go back to pretrump life if protesting works. Which is better socially but not the goal imo. There’s been something wrong with america for a long time and nothing ever really changes. It’s always the two sides toying with peoples hopes and dreams for their own agendas derailing progress and replacing it with escapism and false hope.

I think it’s all broken to the core and there are so many bandaids on this carcass trying to mask the fact it’s already dead. And the death of it is deeply engrained and intertwined in the American lifestyle and culture of our living.

I don’t disagree that the America we knew is done. However, protests allows people to network together - to see others are concerned and want change. This will be important for fostering the new civilizations that arise from the ashes of American society. I want Thiel’s Praxis to fail, and many democracies to emerge.

We need to break from the sociopathic “morality” that many have here. We need to remember that everyone deserves a degree of dignity and to not shit all over each other.
