This is fucking stupid. Just try to get an amendment passed allowing this if you’re so sure. If you can convince 2/3 of each chamber and 3/4 of the states, maybe it’s the will of the people.

Good fucking luck with that tho.

If you think their illegal implementation of policy is contingent on ‘the will of the people’, you’re ‘fucking stupid’.

            I don’t think that.

            That’s what I’m saying.

They won’t do that. They’ll just ram a third term down our throats like everything else.

Yeah, but I’m pretty sure Steve Bannon has fallen out of favor, and what he says doesn’t have any weight.

In this case, I’m sure he’s right that Trump is going to try for a third term, but not because Steve Bannon is pushing for it.

Looks like he has successfully outlasted the Epstein questions.

No-one seems to ask him those anymore.

Fewer and fewer top comments across the web reference the matter and just talk about the obvious distraction.

I stopped engaging with anyone about this because i just grew too tired and that was back in 2020 before the election. Some kid I went to highschool with that I had recently reconnected with, was posting positive shit about Trump and saying he was just joking about a 3rd term, etc etc, when Trump first hinted at this illegal 3rd term idea. I tried explaining, why is he talking about a 3rd term when he hasn’t even secured his 2nd term, he is dead serious about wanting a 3rd term dude, its obvious and he just couldn’t see it or believe it. Its all a joke, locker talk, etc. The usual.

I have totally given up engaging with these people, maybe other people have the energy to slowly and kindly walk them through to the acceptance phase of who Trump truly is, but I don’t.

        You aren’t helping anything

As opposed to what? Hoping shit just works out for the best if you just click your heels together and wish hard enough?

Grow up. This is the real world. You’re literally watching your country’s constitution be shit on and you can’t even be bothered to care as long as the corporate oligarchs keep you sedated with your shiny toys and your marvel movies.

I guarantee you that anyone who themselves came from a dictatorship or had parents who came from a dictatorship (like my parents) is shaking their fucking heads at how idiotic your pacifist “trust the polls” attitude is, as though Trump hasn’t already got his people running every single part of the election apparatus.

You have no idea who I am or what I do. So don’t just assume whatever garbage you consume defines everyone in America.

The whole concept of America is based on immigration and diversity. That’s what makes it what it is. Many of us have generations of rebellion in our veins from Vietnam and everything that led to the civil rights act. The labor unions paving the way for workers rights, and even the No Kings Protests of today, the largest peaceful protest time and again in our history. That’s democracy in action. That’s how we change things. By deciding as a people, united, by standing up to the powers that be and telling them how it is going to be.

Every big step forward in our history came from social turmoil and political changes. That’s just part of how things evolve.

That assumes he will still be alive. Regardless of what his propaganda minister states, Trump is not healthy. He will be 82 by the next election. I would be more concerned about who the MAGA faithful try to get elected after the great pumpkin.

He needs to be arrested. Now. Him and every goddamn Republican criminal in government. The uncountable number of intentional civil rights violations alone should get them all life without parole.

To me it’s incredible that there are still people saying “all this will be over in 2028” and “just vote him out in 3 years”. My brothers and sisters in Christ, looking at everything going on you remain so optimistic as to think there will be another election?

He’s going to. There’s absolutely no doubt about it. He’d rather die in office than face sentencing for the crimes he’s guilty of.

Several recent Republicans running for US President were born outside of the USA, but still US citizens from birth. So logically one would assume that as long as you were a US citizen from birth you could be US President.

However, the Constitution says “natural born citizen” without explaining what that means.

My guess is that the current Supreme Court would come up with whatever ruling supported MAGA wishes and release it without explanation in the middle of the night on the weekend, as has become their custom.

If they force a third term, then America is officially over. At that point, there is no rule of law, and ANYTHING goes.
