She was born in the UK, so we’ll have to change that law before she can run for president. It seems like some of our best candidates were born elsewhere, and since rules don’t matter anymore I’m sure we’ll see this changed somewhat soon. But probably not before 2028.

You can be born in a foreign country and still run for president. Just need to have a parent that is a US citizen to have birthright citizenship.

She can still do a lot of good here! She already is. I’m one of the people who would love to see AOC as president, but would rather have her become a New York senator.

If she’s president she gets to do the job for 8 years, but if she’s a senator she can stay in for decades. It seems like people put too much importance on the executive branch. It’s powerful, as we have seen, but it’s not everything.

Yeah I think AOC is a better candidate for President.

Not that she wouldn’t dunk Senate, but there aren’t many others who could win at a national level as President. Its also clear that Bernie has been grooming/ training/ getting ready to pass the reigns (their end oligarchy tour).

Schumer is one of the least popular politicians in the country, and there are many great candidates in NY for that spot (for example, Lina Kahn, or perhaps even Mamdani).

We really don’t have as deep a bench for President as we do for the NY senate.
