five consecutive posts in a single community is a bit much for what is essentially the same story. why not put them all in the body of a single post where they could be discussed together?

Just because it’s not against the rules doesn’t mean it’s not a shitty thing to do. One post per event per community, and crossposting that post to others is usually preferred.

Dude, it’s the same fucking story. And because it’s different URLs, they don’t even collapse into a single feed entry on piefed.

For the sake of everyone who isn’t already blocking you for spam, be more considerate. Literally no-one wants to read the same story on CNN, ibtimes and businessinsider. You yourself know that you’re not posting it 6 times because it’s important to get those different versions of the same thing; you’re doing it because you want to maximise the chance of someone seeing something you want them to see, without playing by the normal rules of voting.

When I see this, I downvote them all, and then block the spammer.

Sounds like a piefed problem to me

Have you considered the possibility that the fact that all of these news sources are reporting the same thing is important in itself?

          You’ll be missed, I’m sure
