The Department of Justice is facing new scrutiny over the decision to withhold the Jeffrey Epstein files earlier this year.

A federal judge on Monday ordered the DOJ to expedite processing of a Freedom of Information Act request related to the Trump administration’s decision in July not to release files from the investigation of Epstein.

The documents will get released. Both sides simply need to come to an agreement on who are going to be the sacrificial lambs they’re going to throw on the pitchforks. I guarantee all the top names from both sides will be redacted while expendable names will be left in.

Redacted documents are not “released,” regardless of that being the word they use.

Honestly I think they’re trying to drag it out until Trump dies (or at least reaches the drooling vegetable stage of dementia). My guess is he’s in there to such an extent that they can’t even really remove him and have what’s left make sense, so they slow walk it until he dies and then release it. This, in turn, generates a massive enough scandal that they can probably redact whoever the fuck else they want without many people even noticing, but minimal actual consequences, as at the end of the day, everything is now directed at a dead man.
