See box that looks like it’s 3/4 ripped in half from stacking damage:

“Looks good to me, send it off.”

Ended up ordering it from Phillips for cheaper on sale, turns out it’s not too hard to avoid Amazon altogether and a bonus for the company’s reputation being important to the ones picking/packaging the product. Hard to blame the Amazon worker though, they don’t get paid enough to care.

Probably boxed up by a clanker, as long as the weight matches, it’s good to go.

I’m getting better at it. Unfortunately still end up getting a lot drop shipped from them.

        I feel you.

I’m personally trying to avoid Emag, a romanian online shitstore.

I recently gave in and bought a G203 mouse from them because it was the best price. Little did I know it was the best price because it was being sold by a shady minimum-capital foreign company from France, and was clearly counterfeit… It didn’t even connect to the Logitech Software and the quality was terrible. I filed an ECC and Romanian consumer protection complaint and swore to never buy from their shitty site again.

Nowadays I look products up on Emag then search them separately to find better vendors to buy from, lol.

Sure, the “there is no ethical consumption under capitalism” whataboutism. It isn’t any individual person’s fault for being forced to participate in capitalism. But it is their fault for not taking reasonable steps to minimize their harm. The difficult part of the conversation is that every single person will have a different definition of what “reasonable” means. For some, it means avoiding the obviously evil megacorps. On the other end of the spectrum, some may think it essentially means going capitalist-vegan and reverting back to scavenging and subsistence farming in their parents’ back yard.

You can just get your money back from Amazon. In my experience they just refund you. In my case the product was missing and it was worryless.

Weirdly I can see your blasphemous comment about instant ‘coffee’ in your history, linked to this post, but it doesn’t show up in the comments here. I suspect it’s because it’s been voted down to -30.

In answer to the assertion you made about coffee being all the same, I say: you heathen! You Philistine! You non-appreciator of tasty coffee! If you like instant, that’s one thing, but many feel (as do I) that instant isn’t a patch on properly roasted, ground, and brewed coffee.

I’m not even that particular a out coffee, and I’ll be damned if I’m doing instant all the time.

I keep some around for emergencies, but otherwise it’s espresso/cappuccinos for me. A decent machine can be had for $100

Lol I just found it funny. I know a few people, mostly people from Mexico, that prefer instant. It’s weird but all the power to ya. The only crappy thing about it is that it’s harder to avoid nesco and similarly evil companies when you do that.

That’s where you’re wrong. If they don’t get paid enough to care, they need to find employment somewhere that they’ll actually do the job they’re being paid to do.

Maybe I’m snobbish, but instant vs drip vs French press vs americano all taste different and Americano is so much better it was this or a bialetti moka express. My wife said she’d never use the stove top one and I’ve made over 10,000 espresso shots so far, so I’d wager I would have eventually caved in and bought a super automatic anyways. It may have paid for itself in electricity tbh.

I’ve used a DeLonghi espresso machine ($100) for close to 20 years now. My first one lasted 15 years.

It’s not perfect, but just about the best bang-for-buck on the market.

Instant coffee tastes nothing like freshly brewed.

Although I agree that the overcomplicated coffee machines with wasteful pods are ridiculous. Just use one of these, simple to use, portable and great coffee every time:

There are tons of ways to make coffee and each tastes slightly different and some beans are better suited to be prepared in different styles. If people wanna enjoy coffee in a certain style, just let them. It’s fine that you like instant coffee but others might wanna prepare their coffee differently.

Brewed is a bit more healthier than instant and you can support local roasters over the corporate-owned ones.
