    I’m guessing those “domestic replacements” of foreign sourced components aren’t really working out so well. Or, you know, working at all.

    I’m honestly baffled that NASA had an astronaut ride on Soyuz given the current context - particularly in light of how their domestic aerospace maintenance and manufacturing is going since February 2022.

      To be fair, Soyuz has been launching people to space for nearly as long as NASA has existed. If there’s one thing the Russians know how to build, it’s the Soyuz spacecraft and rocket.

      Now the launch pad did get fucking destroyed, which is kinda funny. But the rocket itself worked perfectly fine.
