Winter has just started, and there are already signs of people losing patience in Russia.
This is a brilliant strategy that has been stopped by USA 3 times, first by Biden early in the war 2022-2023 because Biden didn’t want an oil crisis. Then again later in 2024 because Biden was afraid problems in the oil market would help Trump win the election against Kamala Harris. And again earlier this year 2025 by Trump, because he demanded Ukraine to not sabotage his peace negotiations.
If only USA had actually wanted to help Ukraine win, instead of constantly trying to prevent them from actually winning, then this shitshow could probably already have been over. But USA has made themselves irrelevant, and doing this is now worth more to Ukraine than the almost non existent help from USA.
So good on Ukraine to pick up this strategy again, and fuck USA from blocking it for more than 3 years!!!
Finally, if anyone think USA will stop weapons supplies to Ukraine paid by Europe, that’s a very small risk, because those weapons are sold at a 10% premium to Europe to give to Ukraine. And it would be political suicide for Trump to stop that deal, as it has zero negative effect for USA, and it has yields huge profits both to American weapons industry, and the 10% surcharge goes directly to the federal budget.
But fuck USA for not helping, and instead only profiteering in a situation where a democracy is defending itself against a totalitarian invasion. This is against everything USA used to stand for, and it is against everything NATO stands for.
USA is not an ally in this, they are only trying to profit, and we can’t trust USA anymore.
