President Trump is expected to sign an order that would reschedule marijuana to a lower drug classification, according to two sources, in one of the most significant changes to drug policy in decades.
This was my biggest issue when Biden proposed it. It fundamentally changes nothing for most people. The states that outlaw weed will continue to do so claiming it’s still a “federally controlled substance” and the states that already legalized it will continue to keep doing their thing. I guess you might be able to pay with a card instead of cash, though.
What does this actually change? Also, why not just legalize it?

Banking access probably, since that’s federally controlled. Currently dispensaries have to pay armored cars to transport their cash.
