    “close enough”

Dude deliberately placed himself in that position to justify use of force.

E: he wanted to kill someone. IMO another one of those “frustrated” raging right wingnuts that always resorts immediately to threats and violence when someone doesn’t do what they want, especially if it’s libtards, women, trans, minorities (the “usual suspects”, I’m sure). Nobody whips out a gun and pulls the trigger that fast on an unarmed person unless they are fundamentally primed and willing.

I haven’t seen anyone mention that her attention was divided. Two agents were approaching, yelling at her, one grabs at the door handle while screaming “get the fuck out of the car”.

Meanwhile the murderer slowly made his way around the front of the vehicle, out of her line of sight. When she panicked and tried to flee, he saw his moment.

The panicked flight attempt after the other agent told her to get out of the vehicle is what will see the murderer walk free.

To me it looks like the murderer used careful timing to set the whole thing up, confident his leaders would back him up.

He already had his gun drawn and was about to shoot. He was just looking for a better angle. If the other guy didn’t kill her, he would have.
