The woman shot and killed by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in Minneapolis on Wednesday was Renee Nicole Macklin Good, a 37-year-old mother of three who had recently moved to Minnesota.

She was a U.S. citizen born in Colorado and appears to never have been charged with anything involving law enforcement beyond a traffic ticket.

In social media accounts, Macklin Good described herself as a “poet and writer and wife and mom.” She said she was currently “experiencing Minneapolis,” displaying a pride flag emoji on her Instagram account. A profile picture posted to Pinterest shows her smiling and holding a young child against her cheek, along with posts about tattoos, hairstyles and home decorating.

Remember the whole BLM protest thing over George Floyd? Was that not enough outrage for you? Or are you just looking for some made up racism here where it doesn’t exist?

This was the pinnacle of wrongness. There was no probable cause. Zero. No threat - other than the one the officer deliberately created by placing himself in front of the car. No history, no weapon, no altercation, no dispatch to a suspected threat, nothing. The protesters in Portland did far more inflammatory things and nobody got a (non-rubber) lethal bullet to the head.

The ICE shooter went from zero to murder in seconds.

Considering this has happened to black ppl since the end of slavery, THERES NEVER BEEN ENOUGH OUTRAGE. If there was something would’ve actually changed by now. Thats the entire point.

Im in my mid 30s and my mom was born the same year as Emmett Till. Shes seem the Alabama Church Bombing, MLK assassination, Fred Hampton murder, Rodney King, and George Flyod. Why are you all so confused how we respond to shit? HISTORICALLY nothing is a problem until it affects white ppl

        Nobody here is confused.

I‘d say you‘re doing this event a serious disservice. This is a human killed by the authorities, the same authorities that kill minorities. You should be riding the wave of outrage and not calling people out in some fit of misplaced prejudice that because this woman is white we should not care (or are somehow stupid because we’re outraged now, this time?) because there wasn‘t sufficient outrage to met your metric regarding all the other abuses against minorities.

We‘re on your side. Our outrage is just as ineffective as yours. Don‘t think for a second that we‘ve skipped all the rest; there‘s blinded, maimed, and people were killed in the Floyd protests. Nobody‘s done that for this lady‘s murder.

No the issue is, NO ONE CARES UNTIL THE VICTIM IS WHITE. If ppl actually gave a damn that minority ppl have been unjustly killed (EXACTLY LIKE THIS) since the dawn of this country then Trump would’ve never been elected.

You’re not on our side if you only show up when it affects you. You literally did skip all the rest. If you didnt skip it there wouldnt be a Wikipedia article completely devoted to law enforcement shooting unarmed black ppl. If you didnt, qualified immunity wouldn’t exist. If you didnt most cops would be charged let alone convicted. What exactly has changed since George Floyd?

I guarantee you the vast majority of black and brown households are all thinking/saying the exact same thing. Well she’s white so maybe something will actually happen.
