We just bought a combo heat pump unit and I love it. Dirty goes in, clean and dry comes out. Not cheap though.

A big complaint from others/reviews is that they take too long. For us it’s not really an issue because we like our machines (washer/dryer, dishwasher…rsync backups, whatever) to work while we sleep.

Recent purchase, we’ll see about reliability.

My problem with the combo machines is that, not only do they apparently take longer, but you can only do one load at once. With two I can have a load ready to go in the dryer when the previous load is dry.

Why not set an alarm on your phone when you start the machine so you remember to take out the clothes?

When they get mildew they are kind of compromised, you’re not really cleaning them properly with just another wash, you should soak them in vinegar to kill the spores, then wash them again. I find that once a pice of clothing develops this smell from not drying properly, you can’t get rid of it completely without treatment, meaning just another wash is not enough.

The really expensive ones here in the US supposedly work fairly well. Tons of reviews in YouTube

Though if you consider the cost compared to a new set they’re not too crazy prices
