Unknowingly?

I hate saying it like this, but this kind of thing reminded me: every 5-10 years take a legit amazing, wonderful photo of yourself. A for real glamor shot. Dressed awesome, good lighting, lovely background. Make the effort.
Not only for your funeral, but if you get killed in a public fascist escalation and every news outlet news needs something to run, give them something beautiful to define your life.
Now let’s all go have a cry real fast.
In the navy we had to pose (knowingly) for a photo in case we would die.
I won’t care, I’ll be dead by the time my funeral happens.
I see a future where all photos at a funeral are AI generated.
Where’d the real mickey7 go? We can’t have a fake coming in here posting actual memes.
He died. This is mickey8
This is why you should only make silly faces on your photos

Neither of my parents wanted or had any memorial service when they died. They were both cremated. I have a picture I took of them together about 20 years ago, it sits on a sort-of memorial shelf in my entry hall.
IDGAF what happens to my body after I die. As the youngest of four kids, I’ll probably outlive all of my siblings. The only person that might give a damn when the time comes is my son. I have no idea where he will be or what he might be doing. ATM, he still lives with me, but I hope to be around for at least another 20 years. He might be on the other side of the world by then.
I’ve already told my kids I don’t want a funeral, and I hate having pics taken of me but I try to get a few every so often so that they have something to remember me by. I have a few pics of my parents and grandparents when they were alive and it’s nice to be able to see where I came from.
So very few pictures are taken of me that I can expect the most recent photo will always be the only option.
Assuming there are people that give enough of a shit to have a funeral for me is too high praised.
Not if you knowingly pose for one. I’ll hold up a banner saying ‘Use this one’.
