An example of the protective net’s operation - stopping a UAV Product-51 “Lancet” on a section of the M-03 Izium - Sloviansk highway.
This is a civilian highway, well behind the front lines.
Which explains why there is a Russian drone in it I guess
Holy shit! I’d say that netting is a godsend!
Nicely done.
So uh… Who gets to take that down?
Better to return to sender - I wonder how theyre activated…
Neighborhood kids will probably just yeet a bunch of rocks at it before the city crew gets around to taking it down.
Weapon of mass destruction-> kite in a tree
Is that steel cables or something else?
Fishing nets.
huh makes sense that those would be perfect large scale items that could work for this
I assume these have an explosive payload. If it’s remote controlled, why not also have a remote detonator?
Might detonate on impact.
I figure that’s the default. But that’s what I would expect for guided munitions not a drone. A drone implies some sort of remote control capability. And if you’ve already built that in, why not go one step further and just add a trigger.
Say you have 10,000 drones and it costs ~$100 for that trigger. These numbers are made up but I think the additional costs would add up quickly. All just speculation of course.
More proof that Russia is either bankrupt, inept or both.
Yep and war is costly.
