I wish some good would come from the trial. All I see is Zuck getting slapped with a 0.02% net worth fine and a heavy push for ID verification on websites.
ID verification is essentially giving them exactly what they want. The whole goal of surveillance capitalism is to match online profiles across multiple sites, services, and even devices to a single person’s identity.
Might as well just send them credit reports, bank statements, and a picture of everyone’s butthole while we’re at it.

ID verification is a huge part of this whole push; our oppressors want nothing more than complete and total control of the magnifying glass into our lives that is social media, and the ability to verify and cross reference individual identities into a centralized database using the wealth of data we willingly dump into social media is a huge boon to their efforts.
