The controls/gameplay was amazing in both Outcast/Academy, it nearly ruined KOTOR for me if it wasn’t for the story being so good there. Academy to me was just to short. I remember beating it in one sit down… Like 20 times. Then again I was a kid who had the time to spend 5 hours playing a game, now I’m sure it would take me days to beat.
You were evil/good for the last mission only or something close to it right? Other than that I do remember it being VERY short, and that some of the puzzles could be challenging first time around, but easy second time around.
I think the 2nd to last mission, you just chose to be good or evil by killing/sparing your douchey friend who was getting all dark side first. Then the last mission plays out mostly the same, but if you’re evil everyone attacks you.
One of my favorite missions was the one where you piloted the swoop bike, the slowmo killcams when you sabered enemies were always fun.
I think they hunkered down on they get double blades or dual welded lightsabers, they’ll be happy.
That said, Outcast and Academy used to have multiplayer hangout rooms where you could practice how to perform moves and hang out with others, wish that had been expanded upon. An MMO with those controls would have been awesome.
Academy was so wierd, some parts were good, others were halfbaked. I do remember it as fun though
