That’s because the US Navy isn’t actually in the Strait of Hormuz where it could actually manage a blockade with the amount of ships it has but is instead doing the blockade in the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean which is a massive area. It’s not operating in the Strait or the Persian Gulf for fear of being attacked by the Iranian missiles and boats that Trump said he’d 100% destroyed.

Yep. The US Navy is afraid to enter the straight because Trump lied about who controls it but lies don’t stop missiles.

As the three vessels transiting the strait were not heading to Iranian ports, they are not covered by the blockade.

Trump’s social media post said they were “BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz.” But they’ve already TACO’d from that plan less than 2 days later?

Also, this is the same president who just a few days ago lifted sanctions on Iranian oil that had been in place for many years to ease the supply shortage caused by the closing of the Strait? So, Iran can sell oil now, as long as the ships have already passed the strait, but it can’t move any more ships past the strait?

If I didn’t know any better, I’d think maybe there wasn’t a solid plan in place.
