KEY POINTS

Donald Trump said Thursday that gasoline prices are “not very high.”

A Quinnipiac University national poll of registered voters showed that 65% of U.S. voters blame Trump either “a lot” or “some” for the rise in gas prices seen since the beginning of the Iran war.

Trump said those prices are not as high as what was expected from the war, which he said was aimed at denying Iran the ability to produce a nuclear weapon.

He’s right. Even after all those price increases, gasoline is currently cheaper in the US than it was almost all over the world before the war.

For example it would have to reach $16/gallon to reach the same level of affordability as in India before the war.

Ah yes trump is definitely going off other country’s prices. I’m sure it has nothing to do with being a billionaire who wouldn’t know the difference in $20 a gallon and .20 a gallon.
