Google accidentally listed the entire Pixel 11 series on Amazon a month early, revealing pricing, specs, and colors.
-
Prices are rising by $100 across the board, with the base Pixel 11 now starting at $899 with 256GB of storage.
-
Google is hit by the memory crisis, with base Pro and Pro XL variants dropping to 12GB of RAM instead of 16GB.
-
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at $1,899 but drops to a smaller 4,750mAh battery, down from last year’s 5,000mAh.
So basically by keeping your Pixel 10 you’re getting an upgrade over the new Pixel 11. Now, who said Google wasn’t consumer friendly?
I appreciate that they’ve dropped the 128GB model, but paying more for less RAM highlights the sad state of tech right now 💀
I held onto my Pixel 3 until I got the Pixel 7, and always said I’d wait for the 11. The 12GB RAM is still an upgrade over my 7’s 8GB, at least.
Reminder: never buy Pixels at MSRP. There will be great trade-in deals and sales in November, then again in January.
My Pixel 7 is having a really hard time right now 🫤
Put Graphene OS on it.
Already done. Next?
What are you running that you’re feeling resource limitations?
The browser. And the keyboard.
No problems with Ironfox. Don’t use Vanadium much. Pixel tablet.
Glad to hear you don’t have problems on your Pixel Tablet
time for cleansing? I’ve got a P7pro on Graphene OS. Quite snappy
The Pro is quite a bit more capable.
Why?/Same processor and complaining about speed.
This little thing called RAM
The principle still holds: get rid of unnecesary processes, and your phone should be faster and battery last longer
I don’t know why you assume that I’m not already doing that.
They’re just trying to push Graphene/de-Googled OS. Every third comment on this Lemmy community does that.
Good.
Fair point 👌🏼
In what way? Battery life?
No I mean in terms of speed. Like it can take several seconds to load up a webpage or open an app. Just pulling up my keyboard can take several seconds and typing has a noticeable lag, which makes it really difficult as well.
Do a factory reset, you have to much shit installed, mine runs flawlessly since day 1 on GrapheneOS.
“Leak”
I’ll keep my 9pro, thanks. Graphene OS putting in work.
P7pro + GOS here. Snappy as it gets.
7a GOS. A bit small, but works fine.
The feature I was looking for on the 8 pro was an extended support period for security updates. I’m running this thing until it dies. I hate getting rid of phones prematurely.
I broke my 8 pro and I miss it every day. It was a great phone. I liked it more than I like the 9. I bought the 9 on sale so I guess I can’t be too mad.
I love the Graphene Phone
Less battery on pixel fold is pretty horrible, considering the Razr Fold now has 6000 mah.
We really need to normalize using amp hours instead of listing values of thousand of miliamp hours.
watt-hours*
For some reason we use watt-hours for laptops but haven’t managed to figure out how to do the same for “phones”.
That’s a mad battery. Not a lot of reasons so far to not go Motorola…
Still rocking the iPhone X, and wondering if I can hold out until their 20 year anniversary phone next year…. But GrapheneOS on a Pixel is tempting.
Isn’t that iPhone out of support?
I have a Pixel 10 and it is by far the most bug-ridden phone I’ve ever had. I thought Oneplus was bad…
It’s no wonder that most Google employees use Iphones.
