Madison Square Garden sued WIRED for defamation alleging an article misled readers to believe the New York arena was tracking gay celebrities to exclude them.

In a statement respond to the suit, WIRED said, “We stand by this reporting, and plan to vigorously defend it against this baseless and ridiculous lawsuit. We look forward to continuing our coverage of MSG, and on billionaire James Dolan’s use of technology across his entertainment empire. It’s one part of our wider mission and the critical job of journalists, now more than ever: holding power to account.”

    He had a parent who had taken their children to see the Rockettes thrown out because she worked for a law firm that was in litigation with MSG. She wasn’t even on the case but she got booted from the show regardless.

    I remember that case. She was identified via facial recognition too, from what I recall.
