my nephews just built low-mid end gaming PCs and both their setups came up around $1500, no idea where you are getting this $700 figure for in 2025/26. Their low/mid CPU and GPU alone was well over $500.
don’t know whether the prices jumped so crazy (besides the obvious nand issue) or our definitions of mid level pcs are so far apart. my wife and i bought each a gaming pc like two years ago and we spend together around 1600€.
