Noooo, you don’t understand. Biden tried really, really hard to not send 21 billion to Israel. Trump wanted to send aid! Big difference, tankie.

I didn’t realise there was an American Indian genocide, although I did hear a lot about an indigenous American genocide.

Source for that 75% claim? Wondering how it’s calculated since I’ve heard ~90% died to plagues the settlers brought, but since 75% is below that it seems like it’s calculating something else. Is it referring to some specific time period?

It is possible 90% of certain tribes on the East Coast died of plague. However the vast majority of native Americans were slaughtered other ways.

Over what time period are we talking though?

Like the Wikipedia article says 10-100M and up to 95% died from plagues brought over from ~1500-1618, but I can’t tell if the sources are any good/reliable.

Does this count or does it mean that of those who remained, a further 75% got genocided? Or is it referring to some specific even later genocide.

If we’re talking about the time period from 1500 to 1618. Then we’re talking about the time. Where we’re looking at the islands we’re looking at Central America and South America during the Spanish and Portuguese take over those areas. And we’re looking at just the beginnings of the east coast in the continental United states. That doesn’t count for the tens of thousands of fries with millions of members across the rest of the continent. The slaughter of them came way way after that.

The purpose of this is not to make a comparison between two ill suited politicians (Trump being the far worse), but to erode trust in democratic institutions and to prevent you from even paying attention and voting. Nothing is stopping anyone from electing an independent politician, without red or blue affiliations.

What makes you think I’m lying? I don’t know your ballot, but I’m pretty sure there is more than just two options there, no? And not just thr presidential ones.

    • It is an admirable thing, in a politics possessed of a moral floor, to believe one can change the system from the inside, that with enough respectful prodding the establishment can be made to bend, like that famous arc, toward justice. But when, after decades of such thinking, decades of respectful prodding, the condition one arrives at is reticent acceptance of genocide, is it not at least worth considering that you are not changing the system nearly as much as the system is changing you?

The purpose of this is to mock people who believe that voting for the puppet on Wall St’s left hand is somehow a better deal than voting for the puppet on the right hand.

The thing eroding trust in Democratic institutions is the continual enshittification of life via Neoliberal policy that keeps on progressing regardless of which puppet won the most recent popularity contest.

The entire system and the entire billionaire owned media is absolutely stopping people from electing independent politicians, in any kind of numbers that might change anything.

How broken is your moral compass that you think supporting a genocide can ever be a lesser evil?

No one. And since trump is more open everyonr should vote for him right? If not him than whatever republican is on right?

You think that graph is some kind of gotcha as if that is the only or most important event happening on the planet. Its not in any sense. Bidens legacy will be “better than trump by any metric” and yes that includes zionist support.

All youre doing is helping israel with this. But do keep telling us why we should vote for the most extreme because there is no difference

          long standing contracts

That graph he just posted kinda pokes some holes in this narrative that it’s just “long standing contracts” when there’s a massive increase in aid during his term.

There’s also the reality that you lot tend to ignore/deny which is that Biden bypassed congress to send additional weapons.

And you describe the US as “the biggest weapon manufacturer in the world” as though that somehow makes it better instead of worse. We’re already producing ridiculous numbers of bombs, and then we’re sending even more bombs to arm a genocide, and that’s somehow OK?

It’s so ridiculous. All the US is doing is having Israel do it’s dirty work so it has plausible deniability that rubes and partisan hacks can hide behind.

          sold

See the graph is specifically about aid explicitly not buying/selling. Without this aid Israel could not survive not to mind perpetrate it’s many many horrors and atrocities against the people of Palestine, Lebanon, Iran etc.

We evolve from “I’m just doing my job” to “I’m just doing my contractual obligations”. Shut the fuck up cancer.

        • That’s military aid not sales. Never mind that even selling weapons to a country engaging in genocide is complicity in the crime. US support under Biden was more than just military aid.
