    Hitler was considered lesser evil. So this comic makes even less sense.

    Edit: I’ve had that completely wrong in my mind

      But he wasn’t, it was the recently elected social democrat president Hindenburg who appointed Hitler as chancellor thus granting him his rise to power. The liberal society of the Weimar Republic viewed Hitler as more evil, but chose the “lesser evil” of SPD over the Communist Party’s candidate, who promptly appointed Hitler as chancellor.

          Oh, whoops. He was independent, supported by every liberal party including the socdems. Point still stands, though: lesser evil was voted in over greater evil, changing nothing and leading to Hitler anyhow. Oversimplification of history obv; corporate lobbying, false flag operations to blame the communists and the death of the president etc followed.
