Uh no - I’m an American who emigrated in 2022. Prior to that, I had spent much of my time in political activism - among them organizing protests against the Iraq War, electoral work for the Democrats, multiple DSA chapters (and associated electoral work), and SRA and other left-wing groups.
I am VERY well aware of not only Americans, but also the standard belief that international law can be routinely ignored, and there’s no individual civic responsibility other than hectoring others to Vote Blue No Matter Who and watch late night talk shows to be told you’re smarter than the other side.
