Just want to get some perspective on what people think of the American reaction. I’m NOT asking if it will happen. I’m asking what do you think Americans will do, if anything if this happens. Do you think people will just not care or protest on the streets?
Edit: What would your reaction would be? (even if not American)

Pretty much describes the situation. That Falklands bit is wack too though. Crazy to think there are still places that if poor enough the UK will just be like “You know, maybe we DO still have a couple peasant colonies. Did they really earn the same sovereignty as India and Australia? Nobody will care”
Falklands were never fully settled until westerns came along around 1800. Spanish, US and finally Britain. All the people there voted to stay in UK
Wait. I have this confused. This isn’t the island that one Argentinian cowboy claimed? I’m about to show my full ignorant ass here.
Edit: oh, this is the place I was thinking of. I just have not heard of this side of the narrative. Are the people that voted native Falklanders/Argentine or are they connected to that UK airbase on the island?
Everything I’ve read has it listed as abandoned and then settled first by the US and then Britain. No indigenous natives.
There have been a few colonies since the 1880’s. I guess they were mostly commercial ventures. I know I shouldn’t have partiality to foreign conflicts like this but this was my first introduction to the subject. Youtube / Invidious
Obviously I need to examine this more
