    We appear to agree that AI simply increases the amount of energy usage rather than supplanting it, and that energy-intensive AI data centers are the norm for AI usage (such as the use OP is talking specifically about).

      1. I never claimed that computer usage goes down thanks to AI, and honestly I don’t see how that could be interpreted from my comment.
      2. I never implied offline models are the norm anymore than you implied ChatGPT sits idle once a user logs off.
