      AB testing or regional

No. This has been this way for at least a decade. I travel the world, use different phones and devices. This is 99% user error.

It has been this way ever since Google made your GMail Login your Google Account login in the 90’s. I have a UK English Email and a US English Email because I liked that they called the ‘Trash’ the ‘Bin’ in Gmail and it was at least closer to Canadian English which to this day they refuse to recognize.

I mean, today they don’t even recognize Lake Ontario everywhere, so I’m not surprised they don’t offer Canadian English now, but it’s weird they never did. I just checked and my phone maps app offers only German from Germany, which is really weird, because I know Swiss German has at least some very different vocabulary for train based transportation. That could be because my app store and google accounts are originally from the US, though.

Yeah there excuse vacillates between “What do you mean, Canada uses UK English” to “Canada has half the population of the UK so we don’t offer it” to “Just use US English, it is the same as Canadian English”.

We can’t rule out the service going to shit for no reason. I’m like 99% sure you used to be able to block YouTube channels, you can’t do that anymore.
