Good for him. Some of them may have just been duped. I wouldn’t give them the benefit of the doubt by default, but if someone was only there because they were told “democrats are eating babies” then I can understand being pissed.
Unfortunately, the people who were actually eating babies were using that projection/accusation to manipulate idiots into supporting them.
So he can keep being embarrassed about it. Maybe it will drive him to do better in the future. But the internet doesn’t really let past mistakes die, so he’ll probably carry that embarrassment to his grave with him.
