I live in amarica and noticed that every tape measures I find are imperial only. Hell even on Amazon I can’t find a metric tape measure and you’d think they must exist considering us amaricans are the only people using imperial.
I just searched amazon.com for metric tape measure right now and the entire first page of results were actual metric tape measures? The Milwaukee ones seem to be cheaper on ebay.
I got mine (Milwaukee brand) from the big orange box store which also happens to be available on Amazon.com for $25.
Huh. I bought 3 tape measures in the USA and all 3 had both. In all 3 instances I just bought the cheapest option, I wasn’t even looking for anything in particular.
The ones I remember that would be 30-40 years old are imperial on one side and metric on the other. Maybe that changed, idk.
Mcmaster-Carr or Grainger have just about any tool you can think of and you don’t have to worry about chinesium junk either.

Not really a thought provoking question. Locking.
