Is he also going to stop shipping weapons to Israel? Otherwise it makes no fucking sense.

Nah see, the pier can be used for both. Synergy.

It’s actually a brilliant economic play. Instead of only arming Isreal, we should just arm both sides and get that CASH.

I don’t think they are giving/selling weapons to Gaza Strip…

Pushing some agenda is the only benefit it could get is getting by supporting either side, they’re both unprofitable; one’s poor and the other only accepts weapon donations.

Edit: Getting oil from naval wells also makes some sense as an explanation.

My first thought also. Developing the infrastructure to exploit natural resources under the cover of providing humanitarian aid, while simultaneously supplying the weapons that create the need for humanitarian aid.

It’s not like that happened in every* other Arab nation.

*: You could argue some aren’t. For most of them natural resources were exploited using the corrupted puppets making all of the Arab nations’ governments.

I’m sorry, did they just say Palestinian economy? There’s no Newspeak that’s too on the nose for these people.

This is a disgustingly cynical interpretation and I really wish it wasn’t realistic.

It’d probably be more helpful if Biden just stopped letting Israel commit genocide.

I agree, but you cant change the past, and this seems like a good step in the right direction for the future. We cant afford to look our gift horses in the mouths (this idiom doesnt work very well when pluralized)

If only Israel was allowing sufficient aid in Gaza that wouldn’t be necessary.

I don’t have the meme handy, but I’m picturing the Mac from Always Sunny pic saying “I’m playing both sides, so I always come out on top.”

With a US flag over Mac’s face.

It’s a stupid gimmick - just like air drops. If the US wanted it could go and open the border crossings for aid. Hundreds of lorries a day are required. Not doing that reveals the truth - starving mainly innocent Palestinians.

I wonder what the Israeli contingency plan is if the US were to revoke military aid?

It’s a major national security concern for them, and a lot of military leaders with clout are dependent on that aid. They must have some sort of PR / Psyop operation ready to drop in such an event.
