I feel like even if I did think that was culturally insensitive, my reaction would be to say not every Japanese person eats sushi instead of suing my boss, but apparently some people think very differently.
OTOH call out this shit where you see it, and that requires some inertia correction for the ultra privileged. What might be a grown up conversation between two normal people may currently require something different for a normal person and someone who doesn’t give two shits about said person
