As long as an automobile follows federal emissions and safety standards statutes, it can be licensed and used by anyone holding a driver’s license.

There are no regulations prohibiting the use of RHD cars on public roads in the United States. As long as an automobile follows federal emissions and safety standards statutes, it can be licensed and used by anyone holding a driver’s license.
But combined with other factors, it’s not inconceivable that a safety issue might exist.
How come manufacturers don’t make rhd cars for the north american market if it has no impact on driving on North American roads?
