So from what I understand, it wasn’t a review, it was someone on social media posing a question about a brand. The kind of thing that might lead to an actual review, but not something I would consider a review.

That seems to be the big thing that gave the company justification to do something.
Basically a person started a discussion on social media, ended up claiming that a product is killing people from excessive sugar, and then got sued.
