    But why not detonate it in the ground?

    I’m serious. Did they load it into that truck and detonate it there? Why not clear the area and blow it up under ground?

      Looks like a field that can be cultivated, maybe they wanted to preserve it? Or simply too close to infrastructure or civil areas? Or they removed the charge and detonated it while keeping the rest of the bomb to study it? I don’t know, just guessing, would be curious to know as well

        Pretty sure the toxic explosives were to be removed from the field. An explosion there could have poisoned the plants.

      He immediately called the sappers of the State Emergency Service, who removed, transported and destroyed the explosive object in a specially prepared place.
