A federal judge granted former US President Donald Trump leeway to publicly share some non-sensitive evidence that will be used in his trial on charges of plotting to overturn the 2020 election.
This is the world we live in. Where a twice-impeached convicted rapist who once represented this country- now has to be warned not to threaten witnesses in a trial where he’s accused of trying to overthrow his government- and… also happens to be the front runner in re-election.
I now give up on America. If it’s politics can’t stand on it’s one and adhere to the very laws they demand of its citizens- then I no longer wish to actively partake in any part of it.
America needs to have the plug pulled on it and just be left to die. Fuck this place.

Goddamnit, no. That’s not where you take this. You get angry, and you funnel your anger into something positive. You vote, you reach out to people, you contribute your time and energy supporting what you know is right, and you don’t stop fighting. Unless of course you truly believe your side isn’t worth fighting for. But from your first paragraph that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Fight for what is right because your position is stronger, your supporters are smarter with better ethics. Recognize the dirty games the weak side is resorting to, and be right there to call it out and put a stop to it. We might be seeing the desperate, extreme death throes of a burning Republican party. But if you back off and throw your hands up, you give them the opportunity to manage the fire and keep trying to destroy this democracy.
